Tripping in Heels

BOY!!  Not that I was really expecting anything else, but you never know.  Craig is one of two boys and his brother has two boys.  So I’m not sure there is much hope out there that we’ll have little girls.  But we may just keep trying until we do!  Ha!  I say that kind of stuff to Craig just to scare him a little.  It totally works too.  We are very excited to have this little boy!  And I’m excited to finally get to buy stuff.  Oye…it took all of my strength not to go out and buy every baby-related item out there before we knew the sex.  But now I have no excuse.  And shop I will.

Actually I have been eying some beautiful bedding for the last few months.  Wow, nursery bedding is super expensive.  The set I fell in love with was $360.  Ouch!  I just could not bring myself to pay that much.  But it was so perfect and already matched the decor in the guest room.  My mom and I decided that we would just have to go find some great fabric.  My mom is an excellent sewer, and this kid is going to be spoiled rotten with her creations!  But as I contemplated my favorite bedding online for the thousandth time, I decided to plug it into Craig’s List.  And lo and behold someone had posted the very bedding of my dreams not fifteen minutes before my search.  And the best part…it was only $100!  Granted the set was used, but I could not have bought fabric for $100.  And I grew up in a hand-me-down family so I am so not afraid of second-hand goodies.  I contacted the seller and within two hours I had inspected and purchased my dream bedding.  The stars had definitely aligned!

Now I just need to convince Craig that we need to order the crib and mattress so I can see the room start to come together.  Sheesh…nesting much?!!
