Insert Clever Title About Fall Here
Whoa, it is totally that time of year again. I mean, after the total hell of a summer and then a hell of a September, we have finally reached mid-October when the temps dip below 90! It was actually chilly this morning on my walk. I wore a real sweatshirt! And all I want to do is sip pumpkin spice lattes and take my dog to the park. And then pop open a good dry red and sit on the patio. Or watch the Rangers game because they are totally in the ALCS! Or watch college football. My team has been all over the place this year, but they are still fun to watch. And maybe run down to visit my brother in Houston. Or head back to Bryan to see my friend’s new baby again. Or…or…oh crap, wait. I have SCHOOL!!
Mid-October might be the best freaking time of the year, but it also signifies the “more than half-way through the semester” point too. And you know what that means. Papers, assignments, outlines, reading, and general stressing about finals…which are in like 5 weeks. We register for spring classes in a week and a half and I’m waiting to find out about my winter schedule today. (Yes, I’m the moron who signed up for classes over Christmas break.) On top of school, my job has been really busy lately. For every case we’ve settled a new one has come through the door. I know I should be glad to have a little job security and all that, but how am I supposed to sneak in study time at work if they expect me to actually work?
Naturally when I get really busy I tend to add more onto my plate. I’ve been trying to get the condo ready for our guests. My sister, brother-in-law, and nephews come in next week for a wedding. They are staying with me and I want everything to be perfect. So yeah, I’ve been painting bedrooms in my spare time, hanging pictures, ordering rugs, and generally trying to find every piece of dog hair that has found it’s way to the floor. Craig just rolls his eyes at my crazy self. I know one of these days I’m just going to spontaneously combust, but at least my house will look nice!

I'm sure your place will look great! Besides, I doubt the nephews care all that much about decor. They will just run around and think the place is cool regardless of if there are pictures on the wall and rugs on the floor.
